Playback Theatre York were an astonishing experience at our first seminar exploring the drama of life.

We took a break from day-to-day life, merged art with science and discovered that laughter is the best medicine.

It was a great opportunity for sharing life personal experiences and stories, and transform them into art. 
What a wonderful event! Warm sharing audience brought out to share very skilfully by Playback who then did some alchemy on stage that had us laughing and thinking deeply in equal measure. Thanks to the audience for being open. I think differently now about what theatre is about now.
Wonderful weaving of stories into performance – what improvisation! Sense of community and ‘daring to share’ ’ (I didn’t but might another time) 
As someone that loves the arts it was wonderful to be surrounded by others than feel and understand its importance. Much more laughter and unexpected surprises than I was anticipating!

the seminar has been a nice opportunity to share on feelings and emotions and gave the opportunity to reflect on relevant topics as a group. 
Very interesting and enjoyable evening and felt really good afterwards and more enthusiastic about the rest of the week. Very thought provoking and so clever how the players took our stories and so cleverly worked together to present them in a sensitive but often amusing way! 
I really didn’t have any expectations of the evening, but it really made me and my colleagues laugh so much. It was amazing to see individuals stories transformed into drama by the amazing team. They need to be invited back for the end of the seminars!
